IT. IS. ON.
Living with a dog is like having a furry drunk person following you around all the time.
I’d like to point out that from my experience of furry conventions, having a furry drunk person follow you around is notably nothing like owning a dog.
THE LIGHTS ARE MOVING OMFG
wow, what a view
I’ve seen only the first half of the image and thought “ugh, what a stupid black picture” but then I scrolled down and saw the lights - “wow”
If you zoom in or look closely you can see the stars wow this is amazing
I totally thought that was just dust on my laptop screen ^
This is so sick

PLEASE PAY ATTENTION TO THIS AND SHARE THIS.
Aki-Con wants to hide this under the rug, they have blamed the victim and called her a liar, and DJ Victor is NOT to be trusted. He is a known felon, who has raped two known girls now, but who knows how many others who have not spoken up of this. All I ask is that you reblog this and get this attention out there.
Share it with local news media stations, other convention goers, etc.
I actually tried to warn Aki-Con about this man being a felon and they ignored me.
And guess what?
Another innocent girl got RAPED because they ignored the facts.
Not only that, but they IGNORED the girl and tried to say she was lying when she immediately went to staff for help.
EDIT: So, Victor Malice is a part of a cosplay group with around 400 members, give or take.
Which is still a very small part of the pacific northwest and Seattle cosplay community. Out of safety and concern for the members, I shared the post about this situation to the group.
The admins are friends with Victor Malice and DELETED THE POST as to HIDE what happened to people.
IGNORING WARNINGS IS WHAT GOT US HERE, PEOPLE.
If Aki-Con had heeded the warning they received and dropped him as their DJ, then a girl would NOT have been raped by him at Aki-Con 2013.
I personally find it SICKENING that his friends are being his accomplices and are trying to hide these facts from everyone.
This includes the Aki-Con staff that are his friends and knew his past,
This includes the cosplay group admins that are his friends and knew his past,
This includes any of the people who knew his true nature and kept quiet about this. All of this. And even now, they are trying to hide it.
LADIES, PLEASE KEEP YOUR GUARDS UP AT ALL TIMES.
Bad things CAN HAPPEN AT CONVENTIONS.
I will tell you this to the end of the world, because I don’t believe in hiding these facts. I don’t think it is “protecting” anyone in anyway to try and hide what happened. So yes, against their wishes, I will help spread the word about this poor girl and anyone else who may have been victimized by him.
Because I don’t want to see the numbers increased by fools who tried to hide the truth about people who are like DJ Victor Malice.
This isn’t just about one man having done this, this is about making sure people know these kinds of things do happen at conventions.
EDIT2: Luckily someone had left the tab up and had the conversation. So, since it was requested, here was the post and the arguments.
Admins were tagged, and the post was deleted. Remember how it was argued that the admins would tell the group about anything if there was any kind of safety concern?
Well, no warning has been posted. The post got deleted as soon as the admins noticed it and nothing has been said about it since.
My friend on Facebook told me about this.
He’s been convicted in Arizona for sexual conduct with a minor, attempt to commit, and dangerous crimes against children.
If you are in the Washington area, or near by like Vancouver, please be aware of this situation. He is known for going to conventions, and a lot of people are actually acquaintances with him. Since places like Aki Con clearly make huge mistakes like this, please be extra careful to be safe at cons.
I, for one, will not be going to Aki Con again.
This is very upsetting to learn, and I had believed it would not happen again, that the staff would see their fucking errors and do something about it. I fear this is the end for Aki-con for my self, and I suggest for it to be the end for others.
This kind of blatant dishonesty- In not just this, but for how they have treated attendees and Vendors as well. I have only been to Aki twice. In 2012 and this year, and this year I had thought was significantly better from putting the Vendors in the mildew infested and cold garage all day for three days-
Then of course the missing children event when there was a twelve year old cosplayer missing and staff had told me, with a fretting mother and crying sister that there was NOTHING they could do. I thought it was better this year, I thought they have gotten rid of the mentioned DJ that had done this heinous deed before.
I do believe I will also no longer be attending Aki-con, and I again say that others should also do the same. It maybe be fun while you’re there, but you don’t know what you’re inadvertently supporting until it’s too late.
This really hit home when I realized I’d met her at kumoricon this year. She was staffing for registration and we talked about her ariel cosplay and how she wasn’t 18 just yet unfortunately.
This horrifying and I’m so sorry to hear this has happened to her. I’ve never personally attended Aki-con, but I will definitely never attend now.
"My body, my choice" only makes sense when someone else’s life isn’t at stake.
Fun fact: If my younger sister was in a car accident and desperately needed a blood transfusion to live, and I was the only person on Earth who could donate blood to save her, and even though donating blood is a relatively easy, safe, and quick procedure no one can force me to give blood. Yes, even to save the life of a fully grown person, it would be ILLEGAL to FORCE me to donate blood if I didn’t want to.
See, we have this concept called “bodily autonomy.” It’s this….cultural notion that a person’s control over their own body is above all important and must not be infringed upon.
Like, we can’t even take LIFE SAVING organs from CORPSES unless the person whose corpse it is gave consent before their death. Even corpses get bodily autonomy.
To tell people that they MUST sacrifice their bodily autonomy for 9 months against their will in an incredibly expensive, invasive, difficult process to save what YOU view as another human life (a debatable claim in the early stages of pregnancy when the VAST majority of abortions are performed) is desperately unethical. You can’t even ask people to sacrifice bodily autonomy to give up organs they aren’t using anymore after they have died.
You’re asking people who can become pregnant to accept less bodily autonomy than we grant to dead bodies.
